This item was last in stock on April 13, 2012A liquid lactase formula which can be added to milk to support the Digestion of lactose (milk sugar). Suitable for both adults and children. lactose in milk into glucose and galactose , two forms of simple sugars that can be digested and tolerated by lactose intolerant individuals Ingredients :
Lactase, Glycerol, Purified
Water , Potassium Chloride.
Recommended Intake:
Add five drops to one pint (568ml) of milk and refrigerate for 24 hours before use.

Works well: makes ordinary milk drinkable by people with lactose intolerance. Effectiveness is a function of time, quantity and temperature; I usually find I need less lactase than indicated. Doesn't work with stiffer products, e.g. Quark. ”

I'm lactose intolerant & I'm not sure how I would manage without this product. You basically add it to ordinary milk (4 drops per pint) mix it & wait 24hrs for the enzyme to work & then the lactose in the milk in converted into sugars I can digest. ”
